btw they have starter kits that come with brushes, 2 foundations, a bronzer/enhancer, shimmer powder (sheeks/eyes), and the mineral veil for about 75 to 80 dollards. The kits are worth the money and give you really nice brushes that individually are over 20 dollars a piece~!

If you want a bronzer though, warmth can be a little orangy if you arent really careful applying it, the Faux Tan however isn't as orange and is more natural looking, in my opinion atleast.

I did the cardinal sin of challenging the 'powers' of Calvin Klein perfume, and I was made to pay by - Buying three bottles of Obsession perfume.

Some time has to be spent on finding out more on Calvin Klein, the brains behind this line of perfumes that has taken the world by storm for the last couple of decades or so.

About Calvin Klein

$10,000 - That's all Calvin Klein required to set up the brand Calvin Klein in 1968. Obviously, those days that kind of money was considered huge by all stretch of imagination. What people do not know that the first client of Calvin Klein, Inc wanted to buy coats from Calvin Klein! And in fact, for some more years to come, this was Calvin Klein's rise to stardom - With coats for men and women.

It was not until 1981 that the world could see a CK fragrance in the market. The CK revolution indeed took off from here, and about 27 years down the line, we are looking at a line of about 30-35 brands, all captivating and enchanting in their own sense. Some popular CK perfumes launched in subsequent years were Eternity (For men and women), Contradiction (For men and women), Obsession and Euphoria.

In fact, the Euphoria perfume, the Eternity perfume and the obsession perfume have been the pillars of Calvin Klein's popularity in recent years. It will be worthwhile for us to know a bit more about them in detail.

Euphoria

Let your mood sway to the scent of exotic fruits and lush floral - at least that seemed to be the thought behind the Euphoria series of CK perfumes. The Euphoria perfume had been launched in 2005, for use by women. The Euphoria perfume was made of Lotus Blossom, Champaca flower, Liquid Amber, Black Violet and Mahogany wood - All special fragrances in their own right.

The starting line of Euphoria for women had a 1.7 oz EDP spray. For long after the perfume was released, the bottle of the perfume took people by awe. Never before did any perfume have a stylish bottle as the Euphoria leading a lot of people to believe that this indeed was once-in-a-lifetime collection for most of them.

The Euphoria perfume had one very recent addition to its collection. CK introduced the stylish looking and equally stylish smelling, 3.4 oz Eau de parfum in 2007. With Swarovski crystals embossing the bottle, and floral etches adoring the covering, the bottle, if not the scent was something to have in your bedrooms. Of course, you could wear this Eau de Parfum almost anytime of the year.

Obsession Perfume

 

Launched in the springs of 1985, the Obsession perfume of CK was one of its kinds then. Trust it had so many things that none of the other perfumes then had in them, which is why a lot of people absolutely adored the Obsession perfume series. Trust you would not have been faulted for getting obsessed with something after wearing this perfume - Such was the sensuality of the perfume.

Mandarin, Bergamot and peach provide the sensual feel to this perfume. Touches of lemon, jasmine and oakmoss provide the complimentary style, overall packaging it into one perfume that was a must-have then. I must say that 20 years after its release, this perfume is still something people wish to have in their rooms.

Available in sizes of 3.40 and 1.70 oz, you could wear Obsession perfume the best during evenings. A combination with either body talc or a deodorant, is the final touch to using the Obsession perfume - Dare I say, something that would get your near ones closer and more obsessed with you!

Eternity Perfume

 

Ask any CK fan on the CK perfume that he would ever remember for a long, long time, and you would get the reply "Eternity Perfume"! I am not sure why CK named this perfume series Eternity, but at least after wearing it myself I could tell you - Possibly, the name is inspired by the long lasting memory of the scent on our minds.

As a contrast, I found out later that Eternity symbolizes happiness, sensuality, and love. Well, you could gift a bottle of Eternity to your spouse on marriage day, and trust she would cherish this for time immemorial. The main elements of the Eternity perfume were light fruit notes, sandalwood, demure musk, and a thorough array of flowers.

These elements were mixed with sage, lily, apricot and freesia grass to form a scent that would just keep you asking for more. This mixture was good enough to provide a power packed, long lasting scent when you wear the Eternity Perfume.

CK 1 or CK One

CK One or CK1 as is popularly known by a lot of people, is one of those perfumes that you could lavishly use on your body. Even if the bottle gets done with, you would not mind getting a new one. Pale foundation? In the UK?

i have a real trouble getting foundation, i always try the lightest colour a brand has and it is still too orange.
i have tried:
-Maybelline pure liquid mineral
-Rimmel London stay matte
-Estée Lauder Double Wear Light
-L'oréal Paris true match minerals
-Maybelline pure foundation mineral (powder foundation)
and some own brands.

If you are extremely pale, then I'd DEFINITELY try Illamasqua. Their foundation shade range extends from white (as in, white as a sheet of paper!) to coal black. You will absolutely find a shade that's pale enough for you! If you've got oily skin, I'd try a powder foundation - it will be the most long lasting and help keep the shine away.

I'm not sure where you're located, they've only just started opening counters around the UK in the last year or so - you can order online so if you're not close to one of their counters perhaps you could email and ask them whether they'd do some foundation samples for you? you're right about burberry weekend, my brother uses it and it does smell nice, fresh yet masculine. you can also try jo malone scents like nutmeg & ginger, it's a good scent and not so common, or the l'occitane range, may be feuilles d'oranger, a unisex scent actually but a male friend of mine uses it and it smells really good on him, plus it's quite unique and long lasting. I use their mimosa/magnolia scents and one spray would last me the entire day.

Aftershave is getting difficult to find. Is it ok to use EDT?

A lot of the mens fragrances don't include a splash type aftershave (at least not in the places I go!), so the choice gets a bit restricted. Is it safe to use EDT which everyone sells? What do the fragrance houses expect guys to use if they don't make an after shave?
My local supermarkets sell - er - Lynx. And more Lynx.
When I look in scent counters, out of say 20 scents, maybe 4 include aftershave, and probably 1 or 2 that I like enough to pay proper prices for.

No, using EDT is not the same as using an after-shave. While EDT is specifically made for the fragrance, after-shave contains chemicals that help prevent fungal growth in the shave area while providing an antiseptic protection for nicks and wounds caused by the blade, which hosts trillions of microbes.

After shave lotions or balms, in addition, keep the shave area softer while EDT, being based on alcohol, can cause it to dry and get rought and hard, giving your face an ugly, dry look while making it difficult to shave.

If the brand of fragrance you use doesnt make an after-shave with the line, you might wish to look for others that include one. Alternatively, you can select an after-shave lotion or balm that is fragrance free- so that it wont mix with the scent of your perfume. Nivea, as far as I know, makes fragrance free after-shave balm but I'm sure there are other varieties available.

I am currently using Lancome Dual Finish Versatile face powder (that my mom passed down to me) and Ultima II Wonderwear foundation as concealer. I want to use other stuff, so I need a bit of help choosing...
