The texture is light with sheer cream color.
The application tip is like those you see in tube glosses.
I have to blend a bit with my finger afterwards to make it even but it's no big deal. The eyelids feel a little bit tighter but not sticky and the flesh color of the lid appears more even. Then I did the the smokey eyes to test it out...silver, gun metal gray and black. The colors stick to the eye lids almost instantly so you have to work harder to blend or you could just dab the brush to build up intensity. 8 hours later, the colors fade only a little and there is absolutely no crease and no oily shine either. Now I use it as primer for my under eye circles before I put on concealer also...no flaking no fading. Definitely a keeper.

The process of oil painting differs from painter to painter, often but it includes certain customary steps. First, the artist prepares the surface. Although surfaces like linoleum, pressed wood, wooden panel, and cardboard have been used, the most popular surface and often used is canvas. While many painters have used panels for paintings (for instance Da VinceÂ’s Mona Lisa) these can be susceptible for cracking and it is fairly small. Stretched canvas has no such problem.

Conventional artist’s canvas is made up of linen, but anyhow less expensive cotton fabric then gained popularity. First the artist prepares a wooden frame called a “stretcher” then the canvas is pulled across the wooden framed and stapled toughly to the back edge. The next step is to apply a ground to isolate the canvas from the acidic qualities of the paint. The canvas is normally coated with rabbit skin glue and prepared with subsequent layers of finely ground chalk.

Later the process was altered to sizing of rabbit skin glue with following layers of white priming. The artist may apply many required layers of gesso, sanding every smooth after it dries up. It is possible to tone the gesso to a particular color, but normally store-bought gesso is white. The gesso layer would tend to draw the oil painting into the porous surface, depending up on the thickness of the gesso layer.

Next the artist may sketch an outline of their subject before applying pigment to the surface. Pigment is normally mixed with oil, usually linseed oil but other oils might be used as well. The various oils dry differently, which create assorted effects. Handling and mixing the raw pigments and mediums was excessive to transportation.

The painter most often uses a brush to apply the paint. Brushes are normally prepared from different fibers to make different effects. Sizes of brushes even create different effects. “Bright” brushes are used to apply broad swaths of color. The artist may also use paint with palette knife that is flat, metal blade. A palette knife might be used to remove paint from the canvas when necessary. Painter may also use unusual tools, such as rags, sponges and cotton swabs. Some artists even paint with their fingers.

Most artists paint in layers, a method first introduced in the Egg tempera painting technique, and then adapted in Northern Europe for use with linseed oil paints. After this layer dries the artist would apply "glazes" to the painting, using a process of "Fat over Lean" that means more oil paint ratio than the previous layer. This method is known as "Alla Prima." When the image is finished and dried, an artist will normally seal the work with a layer of varnish usually made from Damar gum crystals dissolved in turpentine. Contemporary artists increasingly defy varnishing their work, desire that the surfaces remain varnish-free indefinitely.

Task Lighting: It refers to the higher level of light offered specially at work areas such as kitchen islands, countertops and desks. Additional light could be redirected to these areas using recessed or pendant fixtures. Fixtures with either low or line-voltage halogen offer a whiter, warmer light. 5 watt xenon or halogen lamps spaced 6 inches apart are most suitable for task lighting purposes where the fixture is within 24 inches of the work surface. The transformer is as well included in many low voltage fixtures but it is sometimes separated depending on the particular fixture and style.

Accent Lighting: Accent lighting is approximately four times the level of ambient light in any area. Same again, Halogen lighting type fixtures offer a whiter, brighter look than standard incandescent or florescent type of fixtures. The chosen fixture needs to be directional on swivel type fixture to aim the light exactly where it is required. For further museum-type effect, some fixtures could include a focusing lens for pinpoint accuracy.

Wall Washing: It is again a type of Accent Lighting, which creates an area of uniform illumination, which might desirable for a series of photos or further artwork. Wall washing typically reduces the texture of wall surface. Often the reflected light could even create ambient light in the remainder of the room that appears pleasing and restful.

Wall Grazing: It is just opposite to Wall Washing, it creates a dramatic highlight and shadow effect on surfaces such as draperies, stone or brick. Ceiling light fixtures for Wall Grazing are placed near to wall in order to highlight the three-dimensional effect.

Why do women boss their boyfriend around?

I have a girlfriend who I love to death and she Love me the same. The problem is sometimes she acts like my boss. I don’t like that. I treat her like she’s a queen, I give her a lot of respect, and a lot of love. Now its getting to a point that she will tell me what to do and not do, she will tell me don’t do this don’t do that. I mean I always look for advice from her but not the bossiness. I know she truly loves me because we have been through some rough times together and we have made it out together. Hugo Boss the German fashion house specializing in slick menswear designs revealed its spring summer 2010 collection on Thursday the 25th June. Like many other power fashion houses Hugo Boss at the close of the first quarter of 2009 registered only a slight but inevitable decline in sales. During times of recession fellow leading fashion designers have opted to play it safe and stick to a minimalist and essential design. While it should be noted that Hugo Boss has taken heed of the latter it's possible to conclude that the current economic downturn is not affecting the in house designer's creativity and sense of fun. Interestingly women's hemlines are the ones to watch when recession hits.

With most designers opting to pull hemlines down to the floor it seems that Hugo Boss has decided the opposite is the best way forward for men's apparel. This new collection brought forward bold sailor inspired designs with tiny shorts, pleated pants and sleeveless vests. Similar to the designs of Jean Paul Gaultier and continuing on from his much commended sailor themed designs, representing Hugo Boss, the suit maker, designer Bruno Pieters, a true fan of David Bowie, continued on with the nautical theme using a red and white palette with an abundance of sailor's stripes. Pristine and clinical tunic-length shirts in sheer cotton where coupled with short shorts and accompanied by cropped jackets cut short in the back. Heavy metal sequins continued the scale like marine theme and heavily embellished buttons set off tailored jackets. The only thing that couldn't be confirmed was if the designs included anchor-like cufflinks, something which would have surely set off any of these statement outfits.

The palette featured not only strong black and white silhouettes but also deep blues and reds too. The masterfully tailored clinical suits were worn by lean models who along with their sharp jaw lines carried harsh swept over hairstyles, small dark round sunglasses and black skinny ties. The skinny tie was the only accessory giving a nod towards the current economical climate. Reflecting uncertainty, trends confirm that ties are certainly not as wide as they were a few years ago but in comparison Hugo Boss's shorts do appear to be considerably shorter.

Is this something the traditional Hugo Boss fan will be happy to wear? Although Hugo Boss very much continued on the theme of traditional conservative dress a certain element of playfulness was evident in the designs, something that saw both a slight breakaway from traditional conservatism and a motion towards mischievous creativity. The collection was received positively from fashion critics who praised both the color palette and theme. It will be interesting to see if these sailor style designs will weather the current turbulent and unsettled economic waves.

When a 65-year-old neck looks like a 30-year-old's, you may want to pay attention to what I have learned making up my face.

After practicing the art of retaining whatever youth I can hold onto for over 51 years, sampling dozens of products, I have made some helpful general philosophy discoveries.

THINGS TO DO--

1. Be Good to Yourself: If what you try doesn't smell good or feel good, get rid of it.

2. Be Good to Your Skin: Do whatever it takes to keep it clean, moisturized, and blemish free, and do it every single day.

3. Make your Makeup Work for You-- Do whatever you need to to learn what your color palette is, as in what colors look well on you. Learn your own personal preferences by experimenting on different products. Do you like oil-based or water-based makeup best?

4. Invest In Great Moisturizers--See what works for you. Dare to do only half of your face for three weeks and see if you notice anything. Don't be afraid to use more than one. Right now, I use three. Buy yourself some glycerine; it is in all the great moisturizers.

THINGS I HAVE LEARNED NOT TO DO--

1. Don't Forget to Moisturize Your Neck--Three sisters and I were sitting at an outside cafe commiserating about the effect of age. The youngest said, Just look at my crepe neck. I said, Want to know why your neck doesn't match your face? Of course, she wanted to; they were all ears. Because you have neglected your neck and stop moisturizing at your chin line. She said, Look at her perfect neck.

2. Don't Put Concealer Under Your Makeup--It belongs to really conceal, on top of the makeup. (After 40, I learned I look better when I put concealer under my eyes and around my mouth. After 50, I learned that I needed to go clear around the eyes, over the puppet lines under my nose, around the pleats above my lips, between my eyes, and over my forehead unless I am wearing bangs.)

3. Don't Use Powered Eye Shadow, Eyebrow Color or Blush--Cream stays where you put it and it does not get into your eyes, float down to your cheeks from your eyes or onto your clothes.

4. Don't Use Power Puffs Over Makeup Unless You're Out--You get a much better look by putting whatever powder you choose on with a power brush.

5. Don't Let Your Eyebrows Tell You Where They Belong--Eyebrows are not smart. Avoid letting them dictate what look you want over your eyes. If they grow across your face and touch each other, put a space between them. If they look like the bushes Groucho Marx had on his face, pluck them thinner. If they shrink and thin as you age, elongate and make them thicker. As a rule, your eyebrows should follow the natural bone line up from your nose and definitely begin before your eye does.

6. Don't Waste Your Money on 4-Step Washing and Toning Regimes Twice a Day--I wash my face with soap each morning with a rough cloth, rinse it well and tone it with Witch Hazel. An 85-year old who saw me washing my face with soap, whose face has ruts so deep it looks like the Road runner has been doing non-stop laps, said, Oh, Barbara, you shouldn't use soap on your face. It dries it out. I've creamed my face clean all my life. Just try it. The following night, I used her cream. Then, I asked her to watch an experiment. After I wiped off all the cream, I then took a cloth and washed my face with soap. She was shocked at all the makeup her creme missed.

Is Manly's 120 Makeup Color Eyeshadow Palette a good make up palette?

If you're looking for a pretty cheap palette with lots of colors, go for it. I think it's a good purchase because there's a whole 120 colors to choose from. So whatever color I don't have in one of my other palettes or singles, I turn to the 120 palette because it'll most likely have the color I need. It is a pigmented palette and I like it more than Coastal Scents' palettes. Lots of people will argue that "they come from the same factory" BUT I own 4 Coastal Scents eye shadow palettes AND the 120 palette. They do feel different. The Manly 120 palette is way better. Coastal Scents shadows feel chalky and give off a chalky look. All of my friends are amazed when I bring out the 120 palette. The ONLY bad thing I can say about it is I have very dry skin and I need to use a primer and base under the shadows because they make my lids a little dry. I had an extra palette and gave it to my cousin but she told me she didn't use a primer or base and it worked fine for her (she has normal skin) and it didn't make her dry. I give it a thumbs up. Don't count on the quality being like Nars or MAC, because it's not. It is a bargain though for all those eye shadows. Go for it, you won't regret it. Plus you can get it for super cheap on Ebay. I bought mine on Ebay for $30 though (only because I wanted to buy from a US seller.) There's nothing wrong with buying overseas, but you run the risk of your package getting lost, more damaged during shipping, and having a longer wait time. Good Luck. I encourage you to buy it. I'm happy with mine and I love the pigmented colors.

This seller is great. My first package had 1 broken shadow (lots of people who buy from China get many of their shadows broken during shipping) and I told the seller. The seller was so nice and shipped me another package FREE and let me keep the first one too so I paid $30 and got 2 palettes.

Asian eye makeup differs from region to region. The Chinese, Japanese and Thai people have creaseless eyelids. On the other hand, the Middle Eastern and Indian eyes have creased eyelids.

The crease of the eye is enhanced to give definition to the eyes. Asian eyes can carry off darker and vibrant shades due to the darker skin tones. Otherwise the technique of applying the makeup is the same as used in Caucasian eyes.

Makeup normally applied begins by touching the eyes with creams that fill wrinkles and remove puffiness, followed by the translucent foundation to help bring out the color of the eye shadow. You'll start the makeup with a darker eye shade brushed into the outer edge while the inner edge will take a lighter shade. The eyelash is emphasized with a streak of the darker eyeshadow along its edge.

Eyebrows enhance the eyes, therefore it is best to shape, brush and fix them with the help of a gel. Then you can apply mascara which also adds volume to the lashes. Sequins, glitter; shimmery eye shadows make the Asian eyes mesmerizing.

The creaseless eyes can be done up with a few Asian eye makeup tricks. A gray or brown eye shadow a few shades darker than the skin tone can be applied to create a false crease. The darker shades of eye shade and line are applied along the eye lash and then the rest of the eye is highlighted with a lighter shade.

Darker eye shadows are always applied before the light shades and the look is completed by defining the eyes with eyeliner. The usually straight lashes of the creaseless eyes can be curled with a curling wand or mascara cum curler, another option is to use pre-curled false lashes. You can apply the lashes with glue along the line of the lash, beginning from the outer edge working towards the inner, emphasizing the shape of dark eyes.

Bronze, brown, golden are the colors for Asian makeup. These not only heighten the skin color but make highlight in adding to the look of the features. This palette of colors is flattering to the eyes and hair too as they add to the highlights and shimmer. Asian eye makeup generally uses darker tones of colors and light colors which emphasize each feature.

the 100+ def b/c the name says it all 100+ spf the higer spf the better protection, also the 100+ sunblock dry touch wont make you sticky and they dry fast usually. the garnier one-well it's only 28 spf they say try your best for 45 plus so basically look for the highest spf. you should reapply maybe every 3 hours, 4 hours? if you're swimming every hour or 2. if you wear them together i would put on the 100+first then let that soak and then the 30. also im pretty sure wearing them both doesn't make 130 spf

Stila Eyeshadow or Bare Minerals? Or a different brand from Sephora?

I have stila eyeshadows in cloud and coco and love them, and bare minerals foundation which I love too. However, I'm thinking of trying bare minerals eyeshadows and trying out a more natural look. How do you like Bare minerals? Do you like Stila better? How about other brands available from Sephora? What colors are your favorites and from which brand?
I have brown hair, green eyes, and medium skin. I usually wear brown, purple, or greyish eyeshadows. What other colors might I want to try out?

i love bare minerals shadows, you can layer, or blend them, or wear with glimmers, the possibilities are endless. i adore their liner shadows, they last really long. just go to sephora, or ulta, and try everything out, to see, how it looks on you, before spending your money.

Mineral Eyeshadow

This is really weird to me. Unfortunately I have cs3 extended so I can't be of much help but, have you tried going to windows option at the top and opening various any of the various windows that allow for choosing colors.
