Occasionally you have the word mentioned in the name, but seldom. So, we'll just use our imagination and go with perfumes that come in boxes that are more or less the colour of the theme.

Anniversary number 6 is a tough one, with Iron as its theme. You have Iron for Men by Coty and that's about it. So we'll go by its characteristics; it's a mineral that is mined from the earth and is also found in minerals such as taconite and magnetite, which you see as black sand on a beach. So, in my search for perfumes for this anniversary's theme, I will go by the terms earthy and black. Get it?

For men, you have Polo Black by Ralph Lauren, Black Code by Giorgio Armani, Black by Ferrari, Black Jeans for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills, Bulgari Black for Men by Bulgari, Eternity for Men by Calvin Klein and Givenchy for Men.

For women, there's Black by Kenneth Cole, Armani Mania by Giorgio Armani, Bijan Black by Bijan, Bulgari Black for Women by Bulgari, Vanderbilt for Women by Gloria Vanderbilt and Nokomis by Coty.

The 7th anniversary, Wool or Copper is also a bit tricky. Perfumes that bring to mind soft and warm fabrics, such as wool, are Armani Mania for Men by Giorgio Armani, Aramis for Men, Azzaro for Men by Loris Azzaro, Background for Men by Jil Sander and Bora Bora for Men by Liz Claiborne.

What's the difference between body lotion, body butter, and body cream?

This may be a stupid question but I honestly don't know the difference. Don't they all just make you skin soft & smooth? What's the difference? Is one better then the others? I know body butter usually costs more.

Favorite indoor tanning accelerator lotion?

I am looking for a new indoor tanning lotion to try. Right now I am just using an accelerator lotion with no bronzer. I am afraid of looking fake, orange and streaky and I really like the natural browned look I have now. I am also looking for something cooling...I get too hot in the bed sometimes. I found one called Swedish Beauty Simply Divine which has cooling bronzers. Has anyone tried that? Is it good? Thank you so much for your help!

Note - I do not want any SUNLESS products please I don't care how bad tanning is for you I'm going to do it whether you write mean comments or not so don't waste your time.
Also - My lower legs hardly get any color while the rest of me is a pretty golden brown! Any reccommendations to help that?
I don't know if this makes a difference but I use a stand-up, vertical tanning bed.

i use swingers and i really like that tanning lotion. my legs are hard to tan too. I go to a bed where there is a maximum of 12 minutes and i lay on each back, front, and 2 sides for 3 minutes each. when i'm on my side though i kinda make a shape of a 4 and it has given me a nice even tan.

What's the difference between hand/body lotion and hand/body cream?

While shopping online, it gets confusing. Don't they both absorb? Is hand lotion or cream stronger than body lotion or cream? Maybe BODY lotion or cream isn't as strongly fragranced?

It has nothing to do with strength of fragrance.

They both absorb, but the cream may absorb at a slower rate. The lotion usually absorbs faster, because it has more water content. (It is possible for a cream to be heavy or light, but a lotion will generally be lighter.)

Use a cream or moisturizing lotion: on your body after a bath or shower, for general use (after washing your hands), and if you have dry skin.

If you have normal skin, use a lotion.

My recommendation: go to a retail store and check out the testers for the difference between a lotion and a cream in the brand you're interested in buying. (This is also a good way to test if the fragrance is too strong for your taste.)

There is a store (The Body Shop) that sells unscented products (lotions, bath gels, etc.) where you could buy a scent (one of 16 essential oils) and have it added to the product. This way you could add as much or as little scent that you want.

When most people think of anti-aging products, they only think of treating the skin on their face. If you are like me, you are probably concerned with keeping the skin on your body as youthful and firm as the skin on your face. Unfortunately few mainstream cosmetic products produce lotions that firm the skin on our bodies.

Because body lotion is produced in larger quantities, companies would rather use cheaper ingredients to make it than spend more to make a high-quality product that would be equally as effective as face lotion. In order to find the best firming lotion for our bodies, we need to look further than the department store counters and drugstores shelves.

When doing a skin firming lotion review of body lotions, you need to take a few factors into consideration. First of all, just because the skin on your body isn't as delicate as the skin on your face doesn't mean you can rub lotions into your body that are full of synthetic chemicals. Unfortunately most lotions out there, whether they are for your face or your body, are full of harmful ingredients.

One of your first steps in finding the best firming lotion for your body is to use products that contain absolutely no synthetic chemicals. If the company can guarantee that the lotion is safe enough to eat, only then is it safe enough to put on your body.

The next step in your skin firming lotion review is to find a body lotion that contains active ingredients that do what you want them to do, which is firm your skin. Make sure that the products are made up at least 50% by active ingredients. Many companies will tout the benefits of the active ingredients in their products but with a little investigation you will find that they are used in such low concentrations that they won't even make a difference.

The best firming lotion for your body should contain anti-aging ingredients such as coenzyme Q10 in the nano-emulsion form, wakame extract, and functional keratin, all of which help you achieve firmer, smoother skin. These ingredients combat the three causes of aging which are the breakdown of hyaluronic acid, loss of collagen and elastin, and free radical damage.

Avoid body lotions that contain mineral oil in the form of paraffin wax, petrolatum, or liquid paraffin. Mineral oil is used by many skin care companies in body lotions because it cheap and it locks in moisture but they fail to tell you that it also clogs pores and encourages acne. When doing a skin firming lotion review, find body lotions that contain natural moisturizers like jojoba oil and olive oil, both of which penetrate your skin deeply and lock in moisture without clogging your pores.

Your goal? Search for the best firming lotion for your body by following these simple tips. If you do so, you will find that the majority of products out there are unnatural and unnecessarily expensive. Good brands that charge fair prices for natural body lotions containing high-quality ingredients do exist but you have spend a little more shopping around to find then. When you find a good body firming lotion, all the time you spent searching will prove worthwhile.
