How painful are bleaching trays for whitening teeth?

I am getting my teeth whitened and the dentist is going to give me some bleaching trays. I originally wanted to do this because my braces left my teeth yellow. How painful was it? Can you please describe it?

I have bleaching trays for my teeth. They were custom made for my mouth. It doesn't hurt when you use them. They are fitted to your mouth and suction onto your teeth with the gel.
