how do I get tanner to go on evenly?

I use that lotion that slowly tans you, and sometimes I like to use those little one-time towelettes to fake a tan. How do I make sure it looks natural? how do I get it evenly on my back? any tips on self-tanners would be great, thanks!

The best thing you can do before using those kind of lotions is to exfoliate the skin where the tanning lotion is going to be applied...Remove all the dead skin because if you don't it will leave the skin around those areas very rough orangy color..Always purchase the lotions that have the bronzer in it..They leave a brown stain when u apply it..That away you can see everywhere it has been applied and it shows you what you missed.. As far as your back..You have to have someone apply that for you or you will never get it right.. Neutrogena with bronzer is very good..Good luck i hope i have helped you;)
