Need help on what brush to use for powder blush?
hey girls, makeup users!
just wanna ask which brush is the best for powder blush?
a KABUKI brush? or a BLUSH BRUSH.
and whats the difference?
thanks!
a kabuki might is fine if your experienced but if you are just a beginner use a blush brush b/c you can really over do it with a kabuki brush
on the other hand a kabuki is versatile it is a really good blending brush and powder foundation brush
1. Never leave your house WITHOUT applying mascara! It brightens up your eyes, and diminishes the sleepy or tired look.
2. Do not underestimate the power of a bronzer or blush. Purchasing a skin-enhancing bronzer will brighten up your face, and define your bone structure. I recommend the MAC bronzing powder (BB8); it does not have [an] excess shimmer to it, which can make your face look a little muddy or uneven. Also, for a bit of color try a creme or powder blush. If you are looking for a more dewy look, apply a creme blush with your fingers or a sponge. Smile, and dab it onto the apples of your cheeks. For round faces, apply bronzer underneath your blush, right below the apples of your cheeks. This will make a more rounded face look amazing and well defined! Don't forget to add a touch to the places where the sun hits your face such as your nose, jaw bones, and your temples!
3. Invest in a great night moisturizer. At night, your skin makes natural oils that condition your skin. Combine this process with an excellent moisturizer and you will wake up with soft, supple skin every morning. I strongly suggest purchasing OLAY Regenerist Night Recovery cream. This will start hydrating your skin within an hour, with its amino acid formula. You will see the difference in your skin each morning, but don't forget to also invest in a day cream! A day cream will provide protection from the sun and it's a great base for your makeup.
4. Refrain from other lip moisturizers such as chapstick, and use only Vaseline; you won't need to reapply as often. Make sure you moisturize your lips every night so they are rejuvenated in the morning, and are ready for some lipstick!
5. A little foundation goes a long way! Dab a dime size or less and apply with a sponge or just use your hands. Don't underestimate your fingers -- they are great makeup tools! If you have red or blotchy skin, apply loose powder with a big fluffy brush, over the foundation. This will minimize the production of oil and conceal redness.
6. Do not overdo the concealer! If you have dark circles, make sure you take a touch of concealer and use your pointer finger or a concealer brush to lightly pat the darkness away. To conceal redness, use a light green concealer or use a yellow-based concealer to blend away dark circles. Make sure you use only a little to neutralize your skin. If you use a lot, you will look "cakey" and it WILL show, especially in pictures.
7. For night time looks, apply a small amount of loose shimmer to your temples, cheek bones, and collar bones. I suggest MAC Mineralize Skin Finish. This is very light and has just the right amount of shimmer to brighten up your face for the night! Also for a dramatic effect, smudge some eyeliner on your top lids, be sure to wing it out at the end, this will give you a sexy look!
8. Don't be afraid to apply some color to your lips! If you have light/pale skin, try a nude or peachy lipstick or a lip gloss with a touch of shimmer. If you have tan/medium/dark skin tone, try a mauve, peach, brown, or even a light pink. If you are feeling very daring, try a bright red! For a luscious effect, purchase two shades of red, one lighter then the other. Apply the darker one first then apply the lighter shade to the center of your lips. For a fuller effect, apply lip gloss over your lipstick. Do not forget to line your lips, it makes a big difference!
9. Exfoliating is very important! Using a gentle exfoliating scrub once a week, such as St. Ives Apricot scrub, this will remove all of the dead cells on your face which can leave your skin feeling flaky. This will leave your skin feeling fresh, soft, and ready for makeup!
10. Don't forget to smile and show off your teeth! You can try gentle teeth whiteners such as pre-brushing whitening mouth wash. Also, use toothpaste that has whitening agents in it; it will promote good dental hygiene as well as give you an eccentric smile!
