Where to get nice evening purses AND cosmetic boxes?

Ok I am in England right now and my sister's wedding is coming up. She has told me to search for nice and elegant evening purses/clutches and she prefers them to be in the patent leather style (she likes the shiny ones). I am looking for them in England and Canada and perhaps the US.
Also she wants cosmetic[beauty] boxes/cases to store all her makeup in but she doesnt want the generic metal/black look that you can find in any department store.
Any stores in UK or Canada or US that might carry good ones?
Also, online shopping is an option too i.e. I am willing to order online as well.
