Does Macy's still give perfume samples?

I HATE, HATE, HATE going to the mall and I have been buying all my perfumes online. Now, I have a few in mind and would love to try them but I can't seem to find samples online at a "reasonable" price so I'm thinking of caving and actually going to the mall. Does Macy's still give perfume samples, or is it a "spray in the store and if you buy something you get a mini gift" deal? I'd like to try a scent for more than one day- hence I'd like an actual sample. Either a paper thingie like in magazines or a small vial would be fine, but I don't want to make the trip if they no longer do this.

Mostly it depends on who the clerk is; some don't like to give out samples, some do. The real problem though is that most fragrance companies don't send many samples to the stores in the first place so you probably won't be able to get the particular ones you want to try because the store doesn't have them. I've worked in the fragrance department in several different stores and we don't get to order samples like we get to order product to sell; we get what we get and that's it. If there is a Nordstrom you can go to that would be your best chance. They actually have empty vials to make samples of whatever you want to try rather than depending on the fragrance vendor to supply them.

Types of Perfume

There are 4 main different types of perfume. Eau De Cologne, Eau De Toilette, Eau De Parfum and Parfum. They are ranging from the least concentrate to the most concentrate and therefore the different in price.

Eau de Cologne (EDC) is the term used today to refer to a perfume solution with around a 3% compound in an oil and water base. ItÂ’s the lightest of perfumes and, therefore the least expensive.

Eau de Parfum (EDP) is a perfume solution with a 10-15% compound.
