Hydrogen peroxide procedures?

All my life I've wanted to know WHAT exactly the proper procedure for using peroxide is. Do you: 1) pour it on your cut once, wait till fizzing stops, bandage, and thats it? 2) pour it on, let it fizz, rinse off, then bandage, or 3) keep pouring it on till it stops foaming, dont rinse, then bandage?? I've heard all 3 and I myself have done all 3 but don't know what is right. Please only answer if you have some medical background or info!

How come the shampoo needs directions, but the peroxide bottle only says "use full strength on cuts, etc?"

Keep pouring it on until it stops fizzing, don't rinse, let air dry and bandage.

You shouldn't actually use hydrogen peroxide very often. Although a good disinfectant it is very harsh. It will destroy good tissue as well as the infection. Use an antibiotic ointment instead.
